  • Description

    • To call on Retail, Forecourts, Convenience and Non Traditional Channels.
    • Manage the sales volumes & growth for your defined territory.
    • Grow existing customer base against set targets by pitching to new customers
    • Efficient management of time through call cycle planning to achieve a minimum of 12 calls per day
    • Achieve sales targets as set out by Line Manager.
    • Place daily orders at existing customers
    • Capture all store audits on Georep
    • Ensure product RSPs are adhered too
    • Ensure products are merchandised according to planograms
    • Enusre Call Cycle is maintained and updated weekly
    • Ensure national and Ad-Hoc promotions are rolled out within correct time frames
    • In-store staff training
    • Ensure all returns are uplifted and credited
    • Adhere to brand values and guidelines.
    • Use the company’s resources judiciously and carefully.
    • Be professional and respectful to your colleagues, team mates, customers and suppliers.
    • To effectively place an allocation of POS units in the right location, in the right weighted outlets so as to maximize brand presence.
    • Drive ranging, space and availability in your defined area through:
    o Increasing share of shelf vs. competitors in all stores.
    o Improving location in all stores.
    o Increasing/maintaining ranging of SKUs in all stores.
    Skills and Competencies:
    • New store sign ups and face-to-face cold calling
    • Motivated, self-starter, great communication skills, determined, friendly, outgoing
    • Excellent communication (written & verbal) & active listening skills.
    • Strong analytical ability and commercial acumen.
    • Ability to analyze, interpret and manage sales data.
    • Have a thorough understanding of products and marketing.
    • Understanding of trade math’s and how to calculate profit margins etc.
    • Time management, planning and organizational skills.
    • Presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
    • Work with Professionalism, Focus, Responsibility and Passion by demonstrating:
    o initiative, drive and determination
    o credibility, honesty and integrity
    o results orientation and determination
    o Proficient in Microsoft programs Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
    o Valid Driver’s License
    o Clean credit record
    Education and Experience Requirements;
    • Matric or NQF equivalent
    • FMCG background in similar role as Brand Activator or Trade Representative.
    • 1-2 Years FMCG background
    • Effective journey planning – geographical knowledge of the territory.
    • Cross- channel experience, must be able to work effectively in defined stores
    Non-Negotiable Requirements:
    • This role involves extensive travel – Applicant must be willing to spend a minimum of 4 nights away from home per month
    • Applicant MUST have driver’s license and reliable car
