  • Description

  • We is looking to recruit a Local Buyer based at the CT Office. The incumbent will form part of the Procurement Department.

    Requirements that must be met:
    • Minimum of 3 years buying experience – Preferably.
    • Matric
    • Be able to commit to a 12 Month Learnership Programme
    • To function independently and as part of a team.
    • High attention to detail coupled with strong analytical and reasoning skills.
    • A level of proficiency operating Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

    Summary of duties and responsibilities:
    • The handling of all communications with suppliers regarding orders as well as negotiating price, discount and delivery delay.
    • Adhering to cost allocations expenditure procedures and supply chain principles.
    • Monitoring of stock levels and forecasting future stockholdings.
    • Liaise with the various sales teams.
    • Communicate with the various warehouse departments.

    Remuneration will be discussed at final interview stage.
    The Company reserves the right not to make an appointment should no suitable candidates apply.
